The Villain was a fantastic read for book 2 of the Boston Belles Series and a luring modernization of Hades and Persephone.In the end, I wasted the Cloud Wish in one, reckless moment. They weren’t exactly what each other wanted at first, but they were exactly what each other needed. I won’t reveal too much, but you need to read this book to understand Persy’s light and love was exactly what was needed to crack that tiny chink hiding in Kill’s deep armor. LJ surprised us by gifting us Persy as Cillian’s lover but god when you read this book Persephone may have been the goddess of spring, but she was also queen of the underworld & she’s more than ready to take Hades head on The suspected meek and naive younger Penrose sister with a crown of golden hair and a bleeding heart on her sleeve is anything but. He’s a stone brick wall guarded by thicker walls of steel. But He’s also cold, calculating, and most of all flawed. He is everything we’d thought he’d be and more. A story as all consuming as it’s characters, The Villain finally gives us the depraved and soulless Cillian Fitzpatrick and a rare glimpse into his dark callous heart
